Since my last Event post, I have held two more Artist Melts at Suburban Frontier, my studio/exhibition space in Ewing, NJ. I've been very busy with both poetry and art, doing readings and exhibiting at various venues.

I participated in the 2022 Hopewell Tour October 1 & 2, and though it was a rainy weekend many people showed up and enjoyed exploring my artworks with special UV flashlights for this interactive exhibition.

I hosted the first Artist Melt, an evening of poetry, art and music, at my studio, Suburban Frontier, in late August. Approximately 20 creative people presented their work in a private event.

I was one of three featured artists in the exhibition, "Off the Beaten Path" at Ficus Above, the upstairs restaurant/art gallery at Ficus Bon Vivant, 235 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ. The exhibition, also including paintings by Lori Langsner and Janet Purcell, will run from November 17th, 2021 through February 27th, 2022. Many of my Geode sculptures are featured in this exhibition curated by Kyle Willie.

A virtual reception will be held on March 19th, 7:15 - 9:00pm.

In 2020 I completed an ash tree spire for the "Out of the Ashes" project with the Hopewell Valley Arts Council. My spire, "What Did You Become?" sold at the auction, but is installed for public viewing until April, at Gazebo Park in the town of Hopewell, NJ. I used glow paints on the lines, which charges up in daylight.

"Farmer's Market Oddities" recently won the sculpture award in the Mercer County Senior Artists show, and went on to the NJ State Senior Artists exhibition.

This is a detail from my piece for the Princeton Artists Alliance "Touching Sound" exhibition, coming to The Arts Council of Princeton in March 2020. PAA artists created works inspired by Jason Treuting's "Paper Melodies" composition, which will be played during the exhibition.

Two of my deer rocks were included in member shows this fall. "Small Deer Rock" was recently in the Arts Council of Princeton's annual show and "Deer Rock" is still on exhibition in the juried member show at The Hunterdon Museum through December 2018.

September 29th & 30th was the 2018 Hopewell Tour Des Arts, a town-wide Open Studios event. I showed my recent geode sculptures and salt crystal experiments.

My work was part of "ANIMAL ARCHITECTS: Influences on Human Creativity," a traveling exhibition curated by Donna Payton, at The The Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, New Jersey through August 2017. I had 3 small installations, a photograph and a sculpture in this exhibition.

"CRAVING NATURE: The Feast Project" is a mixed media installation/ongoing series of events, that was first introduced May 6th, 2017 in a Premiere Exhibition at The West Windsor Arts Council, West Windsor, NJ. In October 2017 the project will be presented at Chatham University's Falk School of Sustainability and the Environment in Richland Township, Pa, as part of the "Food & Environment" conference.

My "Questions For a Tree" project began in November of 2015, when I invited viewers to write their questions for a tree on a torn paper leaf shape, picked from a basket near a large 8"h drawing of a tree that I created, and to then attach it to the drawing. It will remain at The Tulpehaking Nature Center, 157 Westcott Ave., Hamilton, NJ, through October 2016.

The project spawned an exhibition, "ROOTED", juried by Ivia Sky Yavelow and Kelly Rypkema, and also a performance salon, in which actors read works written by several writers who were inspired by the questions
